Mr. Hollins has 30 years of experience in finance and retirement planning and 6 years of experience as Executive Vice President of HBW Hollins Financial Group. He advises seniors and pre-retirees on IRAs, 401Ks and money management. He has in-depth knowledge of index annuities, term and life insurance, securities, debt elimination, trusts and estates and tax planning. Tasked with leading over 420 people nationwide in Texas, Ark., Calif., Fla., Kans., Mass., and Ga., Mr. Hollins speaks at seminars and gives presentations about planning for a safe retirement.
In the past, Mr. Hollins served 8 years in the U.S. Air Force as the crew chief-air craft technician. He served for six years during Vietnam and went in the reserves for two years. He had been deployed to Cambodia, Thailand, and the Philippines. He left the service as a technical sergeant and started working in a chemical plant. He then acquired an insurance license and began working in the financial services field in 1979. He ran his own operation for 10 years and, in 2006, partnered with HBW Hollins Financial Group. He independently operates his own firm in Houston and is a national recruiter and trainer. Additionally, Mr. Hollins teaches financial literacy at Texas Southern University and Pro Vision Charter School, speaks at career days at middle schools, and markets through internships, video, and web based sources. He also helps businesses with their startups and teaching marketing through new technology.
Mr. Hollins received his Master of Science in Financial Planning from Stafford University in 2000. He is a Certified Senior Advisor, a Qualified Retirement Planner, and a Certified Retirement Financial Advisor. He has a license in Insurance & RIA (IA). He is a member of the Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce, the Society of Certified Senior Advisors, and the Society of Certified Retirement Financial Advisors. He is also a board member of ProVision Charter School and a member of the Christian Entrepreneurs Organization Ministry. He won the Christian Entrepreneurs Organization's Pinnacle Award from the Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce in 2004. He has been recognized by Who's Who in Black Houston and has been a nominee for Who's Who in the United States. He attributes his success to his drive and passion for educating people and seeing them succeed, and to helping people teach financial literacy. Looking ahead, Mr. Hollins hopes to build a legacy to pass onto the community. He also wants to accomplish something new in America, and aspires to save middle America.
